Residents of Othongathi in KwaZulu-Natal have expressed shock at the extensive damage left by a tornado which ripped through the area yesterday. This follows a level 4 warning for the province which was issued by the South African Weather Services on Monday. Extreme weather conditions have hit various parts of the country leading to loss of life in the Eastern Cape and severe infrastructural damage. At least seven people have been killed in KZN.
