The Mummafesto: Rosamund Kissi-Debrah, clean air campaigner
Manage episode 422231172 series 3556366
The Mummafesto podcast is hosted by Stella Creasy, the Labour and Cooperative candidate for Walthamstow. Each week it considers how parenting influences politics.
Today on The Mummafesto I’m joined by campaigner and activist Rosamund Kissi Debrah. Rosamund’s incredible campaigning work followed the death of her nine-year-old daughter Ella. The inquest into Ella’s death made legal history by ruling that air pollution was one of the causes of Ella's death. Rosmund has since co-founded the Ella Robert Family Foundation, providing support for children with asthma and campaigning for cleaner air.
Rosamund has worked with the Mayor of London on the Healthy London Partnership and also campaigned for the expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone. Rosamund is also a WHO advocate for health and air quality.
