Today in 4 Miles Northeast of Chicago, Illinois, we've got ourselves a scorcher for Juneteenth with a high near 94°F. Heat index values could reach as high as 97°F, so stay cool out there. A slight 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms may pop up after 1pm, so keep an eye out.
Tonight, expect a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am. Some patchy fog might roll in after 3am, with lows around 68°F. The winds will shift from the south-southeast to the north after midnight.
