Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Keith sits down with King Yosef to discuss growing up in Rogue River, Oregon, his early music influences, and learning to record, produce and make beats while navigating homelessness in his teenage years. We also discuss the origins of King Yosef, his creative process, the early live shows where the band became to take shape, the 2023 LP "An Underlying Hum" and some of Yosef's personal experiences in life and therapy that influenced the record, the mechanics behind the live shows, Yosef's recent tour with Health, his label and art collective BLEAKHOUSE and more.
