The Government is pushing ahead with plans to prevent independent contractors from challenging their employment status in court. Four Uber drivers currently have cases before the courts that argue they are permanent employees and entitled to things like the minimum wage and paid annual leave. The Council of Trade Unions says the issue is shaping up to be one of the biggest battlegrounds in employment law over the coming years. Political Reporter Lillian Hanly has more.
