In this emotional episode, I sit down with the remarkable Leslie Obee, a dedicated fundraising executive for the County Air Ambulance Trust Help Appeal.

Leslie shares her deeply personal and heart-breaking story of losing her 11-year-old son, Thomas, in a tragic accident. She describes the immense grief and challenges she faced in the aftermath and how she struggled to return to her previous job as a hairdresser. Finding it difficult to cope with people's reactions, Leslie eventually discovered a new purpose in life through fundraising for the air ambulance charity in Thomas' memory.

Leslie recounts the charity's remarkable achievements, having raised over £4 million to date and funded the construction of more than 50 hospital helipads across the UK. These helipads play a crucial role in ensuring critical patients reach trauma centres quickly, saving countless lives.

Lesley shares her excitement about an upcoming 10,000 steps per day fundraising challenge in July, organised with the Women in Business Networking group, and encourages you to get involved by donating or participating.

Join us for this touching and inspiring episode as Leslie Obee shares her journey of turning unimaginable loss into impactful action and personal transformation.
