We start a three-week journey with a modern worship style and a deep look into the 6th chapter of Mark. Today we begin with a story of Jesus going to his hometown and being rejected there. Then he withdraws with his disciples before sending them out on their missionary journey. This is a pattern in the Gospel of Mark, but what can this narrative lectionary text teach us about ministry and being the church in 2024?
