Eleven (11) years ago today! We begin with Charlie Walker - Bubbles In My Beer. Dave opens the show and dates the program. Next is “Bummin' Around” by Boxcar Willie, written by Peter Graves and was first recorded and released by Jimmy Dean in 1952. San Antonio Rose is next by Floyd Cramer from 1961. "Love in the Hot Afternoon" is a song written by Vince Matthews and Kent Westbury, and recorded by American country music artist Gene Watson and is heard next. Dave gives his editorial on country music in his opinion. We now hear "Lonesome 7-7203" a 1963 single by Hawkshaw Hawkins, written by Justin Tubb. More talk from Dave with “today in history”. Next is “Red Wine and Blue Memories” by Joe Stampley from February 21, 1978. The song “drifting apart” starts and abruptly ends as the broadcast feed dies. Don't worry though, Dave spliced it together so you don't miss a second of the broadcast. Next is "I Get the Fever' a 1966 single by Bill Anderson. "I Get the Fever" was Bill Anderson's third number one on the country charts. That's the first 30 minutes, there's 60 more minutes to go! Special Note: Most of the E-Mail, chat room, and web sites mentioned no longer exist. Your best bet to keep in contact with Pioneers Of Country is on Pod-O-Matic or on our Facebook Page. You can now follow Pioneers of Country on Spotify!
