Incoming Baylor freshman VJ Edgecombe is going to turn a lot of heads this season…not just in Waco…and not just in the Big 12, but at the national level. His performances for the Bahamas in the Olympic qualifiers against grown men and NBA talent (including playing with Buddy Hield and DeAndre Ayton) proves as much. It also helps that Scott Drew is used to handling elite one-and-done-type guards, as does the fact that Jeremy Roach comes in having helped mentor and play alongside that same type of talent the last several years at Duke. Add in Miami’s Norchad Omier and a couple other strong freshmen (Rob Wright, Jason Asemota) and Coach Drew has some great players to complement his returners. Just how will the Bears fare this year?
