The Pirates capped their homestand with a win over the Mets this afternoon. The series was bookended by feel-good wins, but the losses in the middle were frustrating. The Buccos were 3-4 in the 7-game homestand. How do you feel about them right now? What should they do as the trade deadline approaches? Do you have any confidence that this team will be a player in the deadline and stick around throughout it? Pirates pitcher Mitch Keller joined the show. Mitch talked about what was working today after 8 strong innings for him in the victory. Mitch got into the meaning of each game and how fun it is to have more meaningful ones down the stretch. Mitch said if he had a quick 8th inning he would have attempted going out there for the 9th to finish the job. Chris asked Mitch about Paul Skenes and how quickly he has grown into a star in this league. Mitch talked about the turnaround we have seen from Rowdy Tellez since the calendar turned to June as he has become one of the Pirates best players. The Pirates have about a 6% chance to make the playoffs. What should they do at the trade deadline?
