The Bible doesn't provide a specific list of three reasons God wants you to succeed, but it does offer several themes that connect to achieving success in God's eyes. Here are three such themes:

1. Glorifying God Through Your Gifts:

  • The Bible emphasizes using your God-given talents and abilities for good. Proverbs 18:16 says, "Skillful work brings profit, but chattering leads to poverty." Success achieved through using your gifts can bring honor to God.

2. Fulfilling Your Purpose:

  • The Bible suggests God has a purpose for each life. Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Success in fulfilling that purpose can be seen as achieving God's will for you.

3. Being a Good Steward:

  • The Bible teaches we are stewards of the resources and talents God grants us. Matthew 25:14-30 (the parable of the talents) illustrates this. Success can involve wisely managing what God has entrusted to you.

How to Achieve Success in God's Eyes:

  • Seek God's Guidance: Pray for wisdom and discernment in your endeavors (James 1:5).
  • Develop Your Gifts: Cultivate your talents and abilities through learning and practice.
  • Live a Moral Life: Following God's principles builds a strong foundation for success (Proverbs 20:7).
  • Help Others: Use your success to bless others and contribute to the world (Galatians 6:10).
  • Trust in God: Recognize that true success ultimately comes from God's grace (Proverbs 10:22).

Remember, the Bible's definition of success may differ from worldly views. Focus on using your talents for good, living righteously, and trusting in God's plan for your life.

But what you must understand is when you look at people in the bible who were wildly successful it did not come the way you would think… and it won’t come the way you want it to in your life…

Look if you came to me and said I want to bench 400 pounds… I would say I can give that to you.

If you went to God and said I want a million dollars… he could give that to you.

What am I getting at. If you wanted to bench 400 pounds, I would give you 1000’s of dummbell pull presses, 1000’s of bench variations with bands, chains, different bars, different angels and different loadings… I would give you 1000’s of Tate presses, 1000’s of JM presses, thousands and thousands of band tri extensions… and that is just the beginning… and you would say how is this giving me a 400 pound bench… well you can’t handle the 400 poounds until you develop the ability to handle it which is 10’s of thousands of reps in all things “non 400 pound bench”.

If you pray God give me a million dollars, even if you are willing to work for it… and that is your idea of success… he is going to create a life, circumstances, problems, challenges etc.. that make it possible for you to handle 1 million dollars. If not he not a very loving father. would you give your newly crowned 16 year old daughter a brand new Ferrari? Uhm… no.

Why do we not see this in todays world… why is this a bad thing. What ever you want… name it: Be a greater man of God, make more money, be a better husband, be a better father, get the new raise or promotion at work, build a 8 figure buisness… lose 100 pounds … if you really mean it, and you really pray for it… you are praying for 1000’s and 1000’s of reps that will make it posilbe for that to come thru in your life. Other wise Gods not a very loving father. How many people win the lottery and are brok 3 years later… 99% of them.

God has give you the desires of your heart… they are usually good desires… but before you go chasing after them realize God first wants you Holy so you can handle those answered prayers…

Success without sanctification is sacrifice of your true god given potential and future.
