The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.” – Exodus 34:6

In this episode, we explore a verse that beautifully captures the essence of God’s nature, repeated throughout the Bible more than 20 times. Despite this, many of us struggle to see God as being for us. This episode draws parallels with the well-known Still Face Experiment in attachment science, where a toddler reacts to a mother's unresponsive face, highlighting how we might perceive God’s still face in our lives.

We delve into how these perceptions can create emotional disconnection and trust issues, contrasting with the biblical portrayal of God as compassionate, merciful, slow to anger, and filled with unfailing love and kindness. We discuss how broken human attachments can influence our view of God and how the Holy Spirit helps us rewire our brains for perfect love.

Join us as we unpack the significance of daily interaction with the Holy Spirit, the importance of seeing God’s delighted face, and finding emotional safety and healing in His presence. Remember, you are not exempt from experiencing God’s compassionate and loving nature.
