We just passed through another slate of Supreme Court decisions, and it predictably led to the same uproar we have seen time and time again. Rather than debate particular rulings or decry our court as an institution, I want to take us around that discussion to the founding principles. What is our highest court for, what is enshrined in the Constitution? And how have we gotten away from that? By relying so much on court litigation to determine our laws, how much has Congress, and we the people, abdicated our responsibility in governance?
