In Luke 10:2-3 Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.” That harvest continues today and will continue until God says so.” 2 Peter 3:9 tells us, “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.” Jesus said in John 4:35, “Do you not say, 'There are still four months
until the harvest'? I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for
they are ripe for harvest.”
Jesus taught many parables, and in the gospel of Matthew chapter 13 we find two that directly speak to the harvest of the Lord.
