در این قسمت از پادکست فلای‌باتل، امیرعلی شمس با امیر خادم پیرامون روایت‌گری تروما در سه جغرافیای متفاوت گفتگو می‌کند. گفتگو با مسیری که امیر با آغاز تحصیلات دانشگاهی طی کرده، شروع می‌شود و با تغییر رشته وی به ادبیات و در ادامه مهاجرت امیر به کانادا ادامه می‌یابد. اما تمرکز در این گفتگو، رساله دکتری امیر با عنوان: درد درونی و ترومای همه‌گیر: ساخت یک خاطره جمعی در ایران معاصر، فلسطین و ایالات متحده است که وی در سال 2017 در دانشگاه آلبرتا از آن دفاع کرده است. امیر در این گفتگو بیان می‌کند که چرا به سه جغرافیای ایران، فلسطین و ایالات متحده پرداخته و این سه منطقه چه روایت‌گری خاصی از تروما داشته‌اند. رساله امیر به درک این موضوع کمک می‌کند که چگونه روایت‌گری تروما از صرف مرور یک تجربه دردناک به یک بیانیه سیاسی می‌تواند تبدیل شود.
امیر خادم دانش آموخته ادبیات تطبیقی در مقطع دکترا از دانشگاه آلبرتا کانادا است. وی با انتشار پادکست پرشنونده فردوسی‌خوانی در سال‌های اخیر، شهرت زیادی در بین مخاطبان پادکست فارسی کسب کرده است. وی با دیدگاه پژوهشی و تحقیقی کارهای متعددی در حوزه تاریخ و ادبیات معاصر ایران انجام داده است. وبسایت نغز و نیک، پادکست ماجرای مشروطه و مقالات در وبسایت شخصی وی جمله این تلاش‌هاست.
امیرعلی شمس، دانش آموخته مهندسی مکانیک از دانشگاه واترلو کانادا است. علاقمندی وی به تاریخ و ادبیات معاصر ایران سبب شده که در پادکست مگس در بطری میزبان پژوهشگران این حوزه باشد.

In this episode of the Fly-Bottle podcast, Amirali Shams talks to Amir Khadem about his journey beginning from his academic education back in Iran and after migrating to Canada where he started his PhD in the University of Alberta in the department of comparative literature. In his PhD thesis entitled “Endemic Pains and Pandemic Traumas: The Narrative Construction of Public Memory in Iran, Palestine, and the United States“, Amir selected three different geographical regions as “Three Patterns of Trauma Emplotment” which all have an interesting narration of the Trauma. Finally, Amirali asked Amir about his other activities such as producing the popular podcast “Reading Ferdowsi”, his website and his role in “Naghzo Nik” e-journal.
Amir Khadem graduated in comparative literature from the University of Alberta in 2017. His popular podcast “Reading Ferdowsi” made him very famous among Iranian podcast listeners. He’s done numerous researches over history and literature of Iran which could be found online and in his published works.
Amirali Shams graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2021. He has a passion in modern history and literature of Iran.
