How Sac County is Preparing for CARE Court

In less than five months, California will roll out a new judicial program aimed at addressing mental health, substance abuse and the state’s homelessness crisis. Under the CARE Court program, judges would be able to order people who are suffering from severe mental illness or addiction into treatment.
