Viewers were deeply moved by a documentary detailing the tragic passing of Rob Knox. The young actor, known for his role as Marcus Belby in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, was fatally stabbed in 2008 at the age of 18. His promising career and life were cut short. Described as a typical teenager with a great sense of humor, Knox had already appeared in various TV shows such as The Bill, Trust Me, I’m a Teenager, and After You’ve Gone. His most notable role came in the Harry Potter series, with his appearance in the sixth film released posthumously in 2009.
Tragically, Knox lost his life while trying to protect his brother during a night out in Sidcup, London, in May 2008.
Knox was enjoying his newfound success in acting in Bexley when he received the shocking news that his brother had been threatened with a knife. Without hesitation, Knox and his companions intervened to stop the attacker, but tragically, his brother Rob was fatally stabbed in the process.
The perpetrator, Karl Bishop, who was 22 years old at the time, was convicted of stabbing Knox multiple times. Due to his violent nature, Bishop was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 20 years before being eligible for parole.
