On this episode of Wild Rivers Film Radio, Kat meets with Dr. Marilyn Hart to discuss the life and legacy of Elmo Williams. Best-known for his Academy Award-winning editing work on the 1952 classic High Noon, Williams wore many hats in the film industry. Williams retired to Brookings in his later years, where he and his wife Lorraine devoted themselves to philanthropic work.

Williams passed away in 2015 at the age of 102, but Dr. Hart and many other friends of Williams are still working to keep his legacy alive. Learn more about Williams’ career, his mission to build the Capella by the Sea, and how to get involved Elmo WIlliams Day, which the city of Brookings recognized as a holiday in 2018.
