Good morning, and Praise the Lord! Today is Thursday July 25, 2024.

Today we celebrate the Dormition of St. Anna, mother of the Theotokos

All holy Trinity have mercy on us. Lord, forgive us our sins; Master pardon our transgressions; Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities for your name's sake.

Lord, have mercy (3x)

Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, present everywhere and filling all things. Treasury of blessings and giver of life. Come and abide in us, and save our souls, gracious Lord.

8 Tips for the Contemporary Man according to St. Paisios

1. Completely have trust in God
2. Simplify your life to avoid anxiety
3. In every test, say: Thank you, my God, because this was needed for my salvation
4. Acquire humility and prayer will come naturally
5. Seek for peace in prayer, not spiritual pleasure
6. Forget the good deeds you do, remember the good done to you
7. Keep your mind near God
8. Read the Fathers, even one or two lines a day

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name

Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven

Give us this day our daily bread

Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
