3 Myths

  1. Flying Solo marriage is a ball and chain, of little benefit to the average guy…. At best unimportant, at worst an obstacle to woman’s progress.[1] Crosses gender and political divide
  2. Family Diversity all types of families are equally safe and beneficial for children, because family is about affection and attention that adults and children exchange with one another, provided that families have enough money to support themselves. This myth require silence to publicly acknowledging marriage benefits.[2]

Notion in the elite circles that family diversity is a mark of progress in society.

Emotional and Physical risks with family instability are much greater

  1. Soul Mate Anti Aristotelian. Happiness is pursued for itself, not a byproduct of joint striving towards a virtue or common goal. Love as long as it makes ME feel happy. Not a sincere gift of self to another. JPII

Happiness red herring. Joyfulness interior realities manifest in exterior. Not poured on from outside. No one outside can make me happy. Unattainable goal on other person. Happiness personal responsibility.

Chronic problem, defect of people wanting to take responsibility of their own actions. Blame others for their problems. Untenable for marriage.

JPII definition, human person integrated life truly in communion with himself, God, and neighbors. Living that is capable of making true gift of self. Living outside this, can’t make a gift of self-unawareness of themselves.

Need to be proud of yourself. Everyone got a trophy, worried about self-esteem self-worth. Every kid knew this was lie no work involved. Need to be more courageous to help people integrated life and so be able to make a sincere gift of self.

Codependents versus serving other.
