We are celebrating the moves made by Ben Cherington yesterday. The Pirates got better. Did they do what they needed to get over the hump and get into the playoffs? The acquisitions aren’t superstars, but they will bring a jolt and more offense to a lineup that desperately needs it. How do fans feel about the moves made by the Pirates at the trade deadline? Jack Hillgrove from WTOV joined the show. Jack described the fight from today at Steelers camp and said Mason McCormick did not stand for how some of the defenders were hitting Justin Fields. He said it seemed like everyone was cool about it afterward and they almost enjoyed that it happened. What is going on with Russell Wilson, who yet again had very little participation in practice? It seems like Beanie Bishop is making a name for himself at camp so far. Jack said it’s been mostly the runaround with the rookies, but he’s not super confident of Zach Frazier as a lot of us were earlier on.
