GUEST 2 OVERVIEW - Keith Tordoff served 20 years with West Yorkshire Police, earning commendations and working on major cases like the ‘Yorkshire Ripper’ murders. After leaving the police with an exemplary record, he spent 10 years with Bank of Scotland (later HSBC) as a specialist investigator. For 25 years, his family ran the Oldest Sweet Shop on Pateley Bridge High Street, featured frequently on TV. Keith also chaired the Chamber of Trade and Bloom Group, leading his community to national titles for Best High Street and Britain in Bloom. A fundraiser for Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Patron of Dementia Forward, he received the MBE in 2018 for services to business and the community. In 2021, he ran for Police Fire and Crime Commissioner of North Yorkshire, securing 25,000 votes, and in 2023, he ran for Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, placing 5th. Now living in Skipton with his wife, who runs a gallery, Keith is running for MP of Skipton and Ripon. He has never been a Councillor or MP and has self-funded all his campaigns.
