The Atlanta Braves just know how to beat the Miami Marlins.

Marlins Starter Max Meyer gave up two home runs in the first inning- to Austin Riley and Matt Olson- and Orlando Arcia added a solo shot in the third, as the Braves won for the fifth time in their last six games.

Jake Burger was 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Marlins, including an RBI single in the seventh inning.

Charlie Morton (6-6) allowed one run on five hits in six innings for Atlanta. All the Marlins could manage was an unearned run in the fifth inning.

Olson was 1 for 4 with two RBI for the Braves, and Marcell Ozuna went 2 for 4 with a run. Former Marlin Jorge Soler was 0 for 3 with a walk in his first game back with the Braves on Tuesday. Soler was the World Series MVP in 2021 for Atlanta.

The Braves jumped on Meyer (2-1) early. Max went five innings, giving up four runs, seven hits and a walk while striking out seven.

The Braves lead the season series six games to one. The Marlins lone win came way back on April 13th in Miami. They are 16-4 in their last 20 home games against Miami, 4-0 this year.

The two teams play again tomorrow night in the ATL, with first pitch set for 7:20pm ET. Spencer Shwellenbach (4-5, 4.06 ERA) will start for the Braves. Marlins Manager Skip Schumaker hasn't announced a starter yet.
