The origins of the true bread from heaven: The crowd cannot understand how someone whose family they know can give the bread from heaven. For them, the Law was the new manna from heaven, but Jesus offers a life-giving bread because he comes from the Father, and is thus able to make the Father known from his intimacy with him. He begins, for the first time, to speak of "eating" the flesh of Jesus.

Presented by world-renowned biblical scholar Rev. Professor Francis J. Moloney SDB AM, Audio Divina, is a Lectio-Divina styled reflection on the gospel for the 19th Sunday of Ordinary Time, Year B.

Gospel Reading: John 6:41-51

This week’s readers are Andree and Ashley

Narrated and Produced by Br Jeff Miller SDB
