According to data from the Copernicus Climate Change Service in Europe, Earth experienced its hottest day ever recorded on July 21, with the planet’s average temperature hitting 62.76 degrees Fahrenheit. This new record left climate experts and scientists cautious, and they continue to warn about the dangers of a planet that keeps getting warmer. 'On Deadline' is hosted and produced by Lauren Barry.
