The Federal Government looks set to reject calls for a blanket ban on gambling advertising. Cabinet is expected to sign off on legislation regulating gambling advertising on traditional and social media this week.
Responsible Wagering Australia CEO, Kai Cantwell claims a blanket ban risks driving Australians to "illegal offshore providers, which are rife already". These concerns were put to the gambling inquiry, and were rejected unanimously by the Committee.
