After hovering around the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference for most of the second-half of the NHL season only a year ago, many would think the Blues should be once again for the upcoming 2024-25 NHL and fantasy hockey seasons. However, after a relatively snoozy offseason that saw the likes of Ryan Suter, Radek Faksa, and the Joseph brother join the Blues, it will be hard for this team to compete with the likes of the Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Winnipeg Jets, and the much-improved Nashville Predators.

However, that doesn't mean there isn't potential for fantasy hockey value in top targets like Robert Thomas, Jordan Kyrou, Pavel Buchnevich, and others down the draft board like Jake Neighbours and even Jordan Binnington. The Blues will also need players like Brayden Schenn and even Brandon Saad to step up and make an impact if this St. Louis group expects to in the postseason come April.
