In this first episode of Rethinking Our History we take a look at an event that is not talked about in the history of North Carolina. And we say this as two people who spent their whole school years in the NC education system.

It was not until the events of January 6th that Felicia learned about the only successful insurrection in the US, that in reality was a massacre. And it is so much worse than we could have imagined.

As you listen, we implore you to think about the parallels between what took place then and what is taking place now. As they say, those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
