It's Tuesday, but this quick chat is more than just a tidbit! This is an heartwarming story of friendship and heroism with an important call to action!

Next week, on September 6 my guest Matt Christopherson will be setting out on the run of a lifetime-- 125 kilometers from Vancouver to Whistler. Why? Because not all heroes wear capes.

Krista Temple is a two-time Olympian rower and Silver medalist in the 2012 Women's 8. In March 2024, as Krista went to open a jar of pickles, she broke her arm. This seemingly routine act would later confirm that her breast cancer from 2022 had returned, now in her bones. Upon further private testing Krista was diagnosed with stage four cancer, which included six lesions from her head to her waist.

Matt was a childhood friend of Krista's and when he learned of her story, he felt called into action. Listen to the incredible idea he hatched to raise funds for Krista's treatment and raise awareness for the fight of other Olympians who, once they are out of the limelight, can face medical challenges and hardships that leave them with no support or resources.
