Turn your videos into live streams with Restream https://restre.am/ANIm Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw 53 pitches, 36 for strikes in his 2 innings of his rehab start for AAA OKC last night. 2IP 2H 2R 3K 2BB He threw 26 4 Seam fastballs that averaged 95.4, so the velo was good, but it got hit. Average exit velo on his 4S was 101.4 MPH. Curveball averaged 62 inches of vertical break & was in the zone 58% of the time, which were both good, but, just like his 4 Seam, it got hit too. Average exit velo of his CB was 105.2. He threw 12 splitters as well, which is the exact same amount as he threw his curveball, and it got hit too. Average exit velo was 107.7. Had a 17 pitch at-bat that payed a toll, so it was not a long outing, that gave a small sample size, and it's a rehab, so results aren't always the biggest part of the focus. And, nothing will get blown out of proportion by any means, but, have to think the process of things suggests he's not imminent. Here's every pitch of his long 2nd inning.
