Government will tomorrow receive the remains of former struggle stalwarts from Zimbabwe and Zambia at the Waterkloof Airforce Base in SA’s capital city Pretoria. This is part of a broader repatriation and restitution programme. We hear from the Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Obed Bapela about the freedom fighters who sought shelter in Zimbabwe during the apartheid era, most of whom lost their lives in exile and were never accorded a decent burial in their homeland.
