Episode 139: Fighting For Control? Just Give It Up!
Manage episode 443000671 series 2712175
Sonia C. isn’t going to let the rain put a damper on her spirit. Sonia T. has had one of those weeks – she’s been feeling the energy squeeze on social media and isn’t getting the immediate return she was hoping for. She’s trying to stay connected to her spirit instead of letting her barking dog go to stories. Maybe it’s just time for her to give it up and move on to better things.
This week’s theme is: If it’s just not working, it’s time to try something different.
Highlights:
Extend compassion to yourself and save yourself from spiritual abuse. [2:25]
Just show up, even if that’s all you can do. [5:45]
Sonia C.’s experience with an angel rewarded her five years later. [7:20]
What’s the point? You’ll know when you pinpoint your why. [10:40]
Cruisin’ in California resulted in double meltdowns for mother and daughter! [13:00]
Sonia T. enjoys creating, and that is enough. [16:53]
Stop being critical and start being curious. [20:35]
Demanding control shoves the vibe right out of the room. [27:06]
Sonia C.’s experience with Oprah didn’t affect her after all. [30:00]
Sonia T. recalls a rainbows and butterflies moment of joy. [37:18]
Tool of the week. [40:44]
Question of the week: How can I be sure that I’m taking the course that is true to myself? [49:22]
Sometimes the road signs are telling you to keep going, and sometimes you need to see the sign that says detour! When nothing seems to be going your way, the universe just may be offering you an opportunity for redirection. Sonia C. and Sonia T. were cruising toward a California college but ended up in a corn field! Instead of fighting against the detour, they embraced it and ended up having an even better time than they had planned.
Stop being critical about what is going on around you and just start being curious. You don’t have to be in control at all times. When you can take out the emotion and the control and just show up, you’re making room for serendipity and spontaneity.
