At the top of the news pyramid today is a major mining accident in Soma, Turkey. While over in Eastern Ukraine, two more regions have voted for independence. The Algerian president, despite failing health and remaining largely invisible, has won a 4th term. Climate scientists say El Niño will be here any day now.
