Well, T&G is back for another go-around. This time, Pat patiently listens while Craig recounts his recent trip to Florida for Tech Ed Dvelopers 2008. Then, Pat discloses that he’s moved to the ultimate Virtual World of California to take a job creating virtual worlds. The irony is amazing.

A Couple of Notes:
Tech Ed took place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Note that there is 2.1 million square feet of floor space. Almost as much as Bill Gates’ house!
Speaking of Billy-Boy, here is the video that they showed at the Keynote depicting his theoretical last day:
An authentic “Pre Stressed” Vista Hat:
Does anyone but Craig get the irony? (It actually is way more beat up than it looks… the camera simply makes everything look better).
Craig HIGHLY recommends Sara Ford’s Blog. She’s recently been on a kick about VS settings. However, they are pretty useful…
Reflection
Here’s some pseudocode showing the difference between reflection and regular code:
Regular (calling a method from an instantiated object):call obj.Method(arg)
Using Reflection:
obj = InstantiateObject(type = object)
MethodInfo = GetMethodInfo(obj, "Method")
MethodInfo.AddArgument("Arg", val = xxx)
MethodInfo.Call()
Simple, huh?
