The goal of this series is to encourage more arts criticism and creative writing by exploring different methods and road blocks. The Very Black Male is a podcast based out of Houston, created and hosted by Ashura Bayyan. Its aim is to explore the nuances of creativity and genuinely engage with the intellectual communities within arts and academia. This podcast will serve as capsule of ideas and issues in and around the Black Male experience, while archiving the stories of working artist.
