The Dale Eckman Toy and Collectible show has been a mainstay in the San Antonio community since the early 1990’s. Many friendships have been forged at those tables full of fun and goodness.

The Live Oak Civic Center, which has been the home of the show since it’s beginning has been sold. The final show in that venue was January 19, 2013, and I was there to talk to some of the people around. I tried to talk to many more than the eight you’ll hear, but people are deathly afraid of microphones! Guns don’t scare people as much as mics, for some reason.

I talked to my long time personal friend “Doc” Beck, my long time Toy Show friend Gerard “Gerry” Garcia, Texas Comic Con and Texas Collectibles Expo promoter and organizer Kris Kidd, indy comic creator Rob Wuest, long time show vendor Bill Field, comic creator Guy Nuesca, and Aaron Eckman, Dale’s son.
