S.A.F.E. for Kids Training Although Amber Alerts and missing-child reports are an everyday occurrence, we still think it will never happen to us. Not to our child, school, sports team or Girl Scouts troop.

At Strategos International, our goal is that it will never happen to you. And we believe the best solution is prevention through training.

The problem In spite of the widespread concern over child abductions, there's a scarcity of safety training for both educators and children. Strategos International is committed to solving the problem and protecting kids.

Strategos personnel have decades of experience in law enforcement, private security and military security. We've provided education for thousands of schools, churches and businesses.

We offer two types of training: • S.A.F.E. for Kids Instructor Training (8 hours) • S.A.F.E. for Kids Child Training (4 hours)

S.A.F.E. for Kids Instructor Training (8 hours) There's no shortage of talented educators. But when it comes to child abduction prevention, quality training is scarce. Strategos' one-day course equips trainers with proven, practical principles and techniques that are field-tested to protect kids. S.A.F.E. for Kids training is relevant for schools, churches, sports leagues, scouting and numerous other child- and youth-oriented associations.

Instructors learn to equip children to prevail during an abduction attempt using the “Scan, Avoid, Fight, Escape” (S.A.F.E.) approach.

Topics include: • Situational awareness • Identifying potential attackers and child predators • Avoiding contact with perpetrators • Breaking free from abductors

Who should attend? • Police, firefighters, EMS personnel • School resource officers • Teachers • Coaches • Scouting and other youth leaders • Trainers/instructors for churches and community centers • Military personnel

Each instructor receives • A flash drive of PowerPoint slides and videos to present the course in their community • A printed instructor handbook with lesson plans • 10 ChildPrint® ID Kits for the first course • 10 “Keep Them S.A.F.E.” stickers for parents at the first course • Certification from Strategos International in the Keep Them S.A.F.E. curriculum

S.A.F.E. for Kids instructors S.A.F.E. for Kids instructors have a mission to protect children and the background to bring practical, effective training. In addition, all instructors undergo a nationwide background check prior to being accepted. Any potential instructors with felonies or other hazardous offenses on are not eligible to participate.

S.A.F.E. for Kids Child Training (4 hours) Who equips children to be safe from safe from abductors? That’s a good question. And Strategos International has an answer – and a solution. Strategos personnel have decades of experience in law enforcement, private security and military security. We've provided education for thousands of schools, churches and businesses.

Our S.A.F.E. for Kids child training is for youth ages 5-14, with a maximum class size of 20. It’s relevant for schools, churches, sports leagues, scouting and numerous other child- and youth-oriented associations.

We use the field-tested principles of “Scan, Avoid, Fight, Escape” (S.A.F.E.), to teach children: • Situational awareness • How to identify potential attackers and child predators • How to avoid contact with perpetrators • Ways to break free from abductors

Part 1: Awareness Children and adults perceive danger differently. Strategos teaches kids to become aware of their surroundings and to understand the potential for danger, but not to live in fear.

Part 2: Personal protection This session teaches kids simple techniques that even our youngest students can master. Children can’t win a prolonged conflict with an adult, so our goal is to teach them to fight just enough to escape an abductor.

Part 3: Scenarios We put the training into practice with scenario-based testing that builds self-confidence and readiness.

ID kits for each student Each student receives a “ChildPrint ID Kit®” along with instructions for each parent or guardian. With the kit, parents can easily create a confidential and comprehensive record of their child’s personal and medical information for use in an emergency. It gives police a complete and accurate description, saving precious time and hastening the search for a missing child. In addition, ChildPrint® includes two pages of important safety tips to help kids avoid dangerous situations.
