After two years presenting Strange Fruit with Neil Nixon, I've decided to move on and do something a bit different. My first idea was to sing into the microphone myself for an hour but unfortunately, the Health and Safety Executive found that this might be detrimental to public health. I've therefore decided to put together a septology of music shows based on the Seven Deadly Sins. This isn't quite a unique concept because it's already been done in writing by Dan Savage with his rather brilliant book, “Skipping Towards Gomorrah: The Seven Deadly Sins and the Pursuit of Happiness in America” and of course also by the 1995 movie, “Seven”. However, it may well be the first radio show to focus on the Seven Deadly Sins: Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath and Sloth as content and I must say, I'm particularly looking forward to Lust and Gluttony. These seven programmes will be coming out on Gonzo multi-media over the next few weeks, while I think of what I'm going to do next. Any cool ideas will be gratefully received.
