Leader of Wirral Council, Phil Davies, joined Mick Coyle on Liverpool Live to give his thoughts on a letter her received from the Northern Powerhouse Minister, Jake Berry, in regards to New Ferry funding.

In the letter, Wirral Council were told 'for an incident of this size and impact we would expect these costs to be covered using existing local resources'.

In response, Cllr Davies told Mick how he believes that "if you're in the south of England you're ok, if you're in the north you've got no chance"
