Phil Hulett's Father-In-Law was a member of the Philippine Scouts during World War II and was held prisoner for 3 and a half years after the infamous "Bataan Death March." 75 years later, the U.S. Government is recognizing 260,000 Filipino soldiers who fought alongside Americans with the Congressional Gold Medal.
