A few weeks ago, someone was removed from the PAAC Facebook group after making comments in violation of community guidelines. Since then, people with genuine and sincere questions about what it means to be a “progressive Christian” may have been afraid to raise those questions online. Many of us were raised in conservative churches with statements of faith, creeds, and confessions. But what are progressive Christianity’s statements of faith? What do progressive Christians need to believe to become a Christian? Today’s episode is meant to start what will hopefully be an ongoing conversation. We start with the very basics – Do you have to believe in God to be a Christian? And, are all religions equally valid?
Thanks for listening!
