How do I turn my creativity into money? Stellabelle started Slothicorn to help artists find an answer to that question. An artist herself, Stellabelle was able to escape the traditional 9-5 slog when she became a successful early contributor to Steemit. Steemit is a blogging and social networking website that uses its Steem blockchain-based rewards platform for publishers. Stellabelle leverages her authority in Steemit to monetarily reward artistic contributions and encourages artists to contribute to Creative Commons. Through her leadership, Slothicorn has grown a large community, or tribe, of artists working in collaboration. Stellabelle's approach is evolving over time as she better understands the needs of her tribe but her goal remains the same, to find a way to support artists in finding ways to get paid for their work.
