"When I hear people say, 'These things happen as they happen in any other sector,' I think, 'Should they?'" Racism, sexism, and discrimination are not acceptable in any context, but in the context of social justice and humanitarian work, those actions can be even more harmful and insidious. In light of recent scandals in Haiti, Judithe considers the response to these issues and a path towards a more diverse, just, and supportive organizational framework and mindset that can bring our personal standards and values to the organizations, nations, and individuals we serve.
