Alright Devils fans. That was a tough one. I look at the 5-2 Game 1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, figure out what went wrong, what went right, and what the Devils need to do to get back even in this series in Game 2 on Saturday (3p.m., NBC). I talk about some of the positives, some of the negatives, some of the playoff jitters, the fact that it’s only Game 1 and not at all time to overreact, the run of play as seen by the “eye test” more so than the underlying analytics, and mostly I emphasize that series isn’t over. It’s only just begun. Don’t shave those playoff beards just yet.
