This week on “Rebel Hearts”: Kristie speaks with Allison Melody, host of "The Food Heals Podcast" and owner of Melody Productions. Allison is an eco–entrepreneur with a passion for film, fitness and food. Through her podcast, she brings together experts in nutrition and healing to teach listeners the best-kept natural secrets to health and happiness. For the past eleven years, Allison has also directed, produced and edited documentary films, PSA’s, commercials and viral videos for clients on the topics of social justice, human rights and holistic health. Allison is currently in the process of directing the documentary "Food Heals". Allison shares how, in her early twenties, she witnessed her parents' long and painful battles with cancer and was facing the devastating loss of first her mother and then her father. Followed by the loss of her inheritance, she was stranded with no family support, no money and did not know how to pay the next mont's rent. Driven by a strong will to succeed, Allison turned tears into triumph and founded her production company "Melody Productions". She also started immersing herself in the studies of nutritional medicine, holistic health and alternative healing. Seeing how important it was to heal the trauma and pain she had experienced, Allison started to dive into different healing modalities. She shares what helped her heal herself on the physical, spiritual and emotional level. After a failed blogging attempt, Allison started "The Food Heals Podcast". Twelve years after founding her production company Allison is now living the entrepreneurial dream. She shares with us how too you can find your voice, follow your truth and turn your passion into your career. Allison encourages us to "Follow your dream, build your tribe and the money will follow!"
