On This Episode of The Beautiful Butterfly Radio Show We Welcome Music Artist Jocelyn Eris as she shares her first project with us entitled " Happy Went Petty. Meet Our Guest: Jocelyn Eris from Palmetto Georgia...A Gemini Ga Baptist baby! She loves music and fell in love with rap in 2000 because of Lil Bow Wow “beware of the dog”.Jocelyn started writing in high school but really spitting lyrics in college. In 2013, she did Valdosta States 1st live cypher and kind of turnt it up and it was fun. So when she left college and started making my own music. Jocelyn told herself with the Christian background she got (growing up in the church/mime dancing) that she needed to make sure she acknowledge God. Jocelyn wanted the folks who listen to her music to know I’m a sinner but a believer. Jocelyn tried to be conscious because she has a niece and nephew and she knew where she wanted to go people would be looking up to her. She wrote for the little girl inside of her. Jocelyn wrote about stuff she experienced and lived , how she felt and think, and her bad habits, sexuality and black girl insecurities. Jocelyn believe these characteristics is what separates her from some of the rappers we know .
