Episode 5 of this wonderful "down home" series featuring the daily events in the lives of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Gook and their adopted son, Rush. On the air for 14 years (1932-46) achieving a listener base of 7 million people per episode in 1943! The dialog was so natural that it could be taking place in a home, not on the radio! This is the 5th Episode, though each Episode is a separate story in itself. This one is entitled "Gumpox versus Donahue" and the track begins with a brief synopsis of the story... and then it is off to the Gook residence in "the little house half-way up the block." Be sure to check the "Vic and Sade" checklist for other Episodes.... they start with "Bacon Sandwiches" and "Smelly Clark's First Big Date" ... Listen here or on Itunes or Google Play Music by searching podcasts for "Heirloom Radio" w/o the " " .
