It was a heck of week around here with all the baseball and football and hockey, so we get right into it. The AL and NL championship series are underway, and both have been underwhelming yet delivered memorable moments. Is there an underdog in either of these?

There was craziness in football, as the BC Lions won in Calgary (what?!) on the strength of another dominant defensive performance. Is this team for real, and can they carry this momentum? The Seahawks won and looked good doing it, but can they keep pace with the division leaders? And how about that Chiefs-Patriots game? AFC Championship preview?

We discuss the Canucks epic road trip, where the story isn't a three game win streak or a possible goalie controversy, but a questionable hit on young star Elias Pettersson and the reaction (or lack thereof). Did the NHL handle it right? Should the Canucks employ a tough guy to respond to this? All this plus our best and worst in Garbage Time, and we say goodbye to a Pacific Northwest icon.
