For the first time, a female soldier has passed the U.S. Army's Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) course. This is one step of many ahead before completing the pipeline to becoming a Special Forces soldier, aka "Green Beret". In this first part of a two part series, we discuss women in Special Operations Forces (SOF) and specifically in the U.S. Army Special Forces. Mike Pritts and Andrea Goldstein join Robert on this episode. Mike is a former 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) CSM/E9 and Pat Tillman Scholar who was at Ft. Bragg and at the USAJFKSWCS when the news broke about the first female SFAS graduate and shares his insights from his trip and his time as a SWCS instructor. Andrea Goldstein is a former USN officer who has held command positions of Joint Special Operations Task Force, Special Reconnaissance Team One, and is currently the CEO of Service to School, a successful non-profit supporting and empowering veterans.
