Episode 194: Lady Gurgle
Manage episode 223715879 series 2362504
WARNING: The graphics package this week has an image that is… well… graphic. It’s pretty obvious which part.
It’s a This Week in B Roll with Amanda Zorshack, who graciously took time off from saving the polar ice caps to join us for a tour of all the best news in geek. Here’s a quick recap:
- Brandon Sanderson has written a Magic: The Gathering novella, and a thousand geek voices cried out in joyful agony
- A plant was combined with a robot, and drove itself to feel the sun
- Also, a robot impaled a dude with 10 12” spike. Call it what it is: robot terrorism.
- China has a new movie that is such an Iron Man ripoff that it is AWESOME.
- The Dark Crystal prequel got a ridiculous voice cast
- Silicon Valley is suddenly concerned about how much technology children consume, and collectively mumble, “My God, what have I done?” like every other vaguely sympathetic villain in history
- And archeologists have discovered a 4,000-year-old board game, and presumably the bones of some obnoxious fanboy who took the game way too seriously
Thanks for listening, and please share us with a friend! Or better yet…
